"Hi, I have a mouse stuck in my outlet...?"

A few years ago, I posted about these houseflies that hung around our house during one summer night and just wouldn't leave. I managed to snap about 7 or so chilling out on the wall/desk in one camera frame. You can click back if you really want to know about it. lol

Today, I return with "Hi, I have a mouse stuck in my outlet...?" No kidding. Haha. We have reason to believe that it was our apartment pet Jerry who invited himself to our living room about a week or two ago. The faceplate to the outlet was never screwed on, so amidst his fervent attempt to scurry into our walls, he resorted to sticking his little head into the space between the outlets.

You know how they say that a mouse can get through any hole as long as its head gets through? Well, I guess this one's an exception. haha. Although I'm pretty sure he would've been able to (he was a very capable mouse)... if he didn't get shocked to death first. loool.

I found him there when I was moving out. He was stuck in the outlet under my desk/bed. I knew he wasn't there earlier cuz I plugged in my laptop adapter there the night before. haha, poor Jerry. I called housing/maintenance and they LOL'd. I left post-its leading to the treasure find when they send someone from Environmental Health on Monday. lmao

P.S. I took a picture. Ask me if you really want to see it :D

Alright alright, I finally sold out to the Harry Potter cult. All the hype about the 7th book and the new movie has left me wanting to read the books even more. I swear, it's a marketing ploy. See, before the books and movies were released almost independently of each other, but now it's just ZOMGHARRYPOTTERMANIA. I could handle the separation - sure I've been tempted to start reading them every now and then, but I've always managed to hold myself back because I thought the movies were good enough for me. Now, everywhere I turn is "ZOMG ARE YOU EXCITED? HP HP HP MOVIE AND BOOK" - and no, I'm sure they're not talking about Hewlett-Packard. The pressure was killing me, and I sold myself out this time. lol

I bought the first 2 books - I would've bought the entire box set, but I didn't have enough money on me. Bummer. Besides going to the bookstore to get each book in series is more exciting anyway. lol

It just dawned on me the plot of Book 1. Hm, I don't know if I'll enjoy it as much as the others. We'll see how it goes. It better be good, or some HP fans will be getting a beating. lol

/Turn on serious mode

I think I scared Sinaguinan a little. lol He was complaining about the athletic referendum that hiked the athletic fees up by a good amount in order to sustain the athletics department. Okay, but one problem: he didn't vote against it. In fact, he didn't vote at all. Wtf, mate? (Sad part is, he's part of CalPirg, which advocates pro-activism! lol) His reason: He is only one vote against a thousand.

I tend to get pretty riled up when people start complaining about the direction of the school when they don't contribute their votes. Do you know how many people voted in our AS Elections this quarter? Less than twenty-fucking-five percent of the entire student body voted. That's really pathetic. How can you just sit there and complain but not contribute? I mean, if you really really don't like a referendum, go out and be proactive! If you don't, I don't think there's a legit excuse for you to complain.

Okay, I'm not saying that people are not entitled to give their opinions simply because they didn't vote, but there's a certain extent when your complaints become "invalid" in a sense.

This kinda reminds me of Gil Scott-Heron's "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised."
